When I try to launch Scrumworks Pro after the 4.5 update I see the errors:
"The Application's digital signature cannot be verified." OR "The web site’s certificate cannot be verified. Do you want to continue?"

This is an issue with our 4.5 update to Scrumworks pro.
Our vendor (Thawte) is giving out signing keys that are issued by one of their newer certificate authorities. However, most versions of Java are not configured to know of or trust that certificate authority, so when you start the application you get a warning saying this application was signed by an untrusted certificate.
Here are two solutions to remove this error:
1) Upgrade to a new version of JDK.
Any version past Java 1.6.0_19 should clear this up.
2) Add the Thawte Primary Root CA to the trusted list in Java.
To do this you will have to acquire the certificate, which you can do one of two ways.
Option 1: Take the CA key from your browser.
In Firefox that’s in Options->Advanced->Encryption->View Certificates->Authorities
In IE, that’s in Internet Options->Content->Certificates->Trusted Root Certification Authorities
Look for the one entitled “Thawte Primary Root CA”. For verification purposes (should there be any confusion) - this is the one that’s valid from November 16 2006 to July 16 2036, and it’s a 2048 bit key.
Click the export button. Depending on the application, it’ll give you some options. You’re looking for either “PEM” (the default for Firefox), or Base-64 encoded X.509 (the second option for IE).
Save it to your desktop as “thawte.cer”. Firefox may offer thawtePrimaryRootCA.crt, as the file name which is okay too.
Option 2: Get it from Thawte.com
Go to: https://www.thawte.com/roots/index.html
Be sure that your browser indicates the SSL certificate was “verified by thawte, Inc (US)”.
Grab “Thawte Primary Root CA” on that page. It should be the first one listed. Save as thawte.cer or thawtePrimaryRootCA.crt on your desktop.
Whichever option you choose, once you have the certificate authority you will need to import it.
Go to the Java control Panel (Windows Control Panel -> Programs -> Java).
Under Security->Certificates, select “Signer CA” from the Certificate type list.
Now click the Import button, and in the Finder, select Files of type: All Files
Select the file from your desktop, and click Open.
Now close the remaining dialog boxes, and you’ve successfully trusted apps signed by a new Thawte code signing certificate.
