We seem to have a recurrent problem with our ScrumWorks pro trial. We are using multiple monitor windows 7 systems running Java 6 (latest version).
The problem seems to be when a window gets undocked (e.g. edit release, or edit sprint) and is left that way, then the user logs in from another machine with a different monitor configuration (laptop, remote desktop etc.), the undocked window remains in the same location in which it was first opened, and is therefore invisible.
I have the situation currently with the edit window for User Stories & releases. Needless to say, unless this window can become visible again the product is unusable for my user account.
ADDITIONALLY: We have also seen some windows appearing with the title bar off the top of the screen and therefore being unmoveable (on the system the two monitors have different dimensions)
ADDITIONALLY: We have noticed that when ScrumWorks is used on a 4 monitor system in a screen with extreemly negative co-ordinates, the program runs VERY slowly. As you move the application window towards less negative co-ordinates the update speed of the application becomes propotionally faster.
I would expect each window to validate that its location is in the working area of the currently available monitors and adjust themselves before being shown!
To be honest this is a showstopper for us as an organization adopting ScrumWorks, can you give us a release date for a fix (or workaround (deleting settings?)) so we can see if this fits with our adoption timescale?
UPDATE: Seems on a 2 monitor system, where screen 2 (22") is set to be the primary display and screen 1 (19") is to the right of it. If you open ScrumWorks in Screen 2, undock the edit backlog item frame for a product, move the undocked window to screen 1 and then shutdown scrumworks, when you reopen scrumworks it is now not possible to get access to the edit window that was floating, even though it was in the visible area!!!
Undocked windows used on multiple monitor systems can be displayed off-screen or invisibly

Hi Mike,
You should have a response to the support case you entered. The development team is now aware of the issues you have raised and I will bring them them up for discussion with the Product Owner.
In the meantime, there are a couple work arounds that we find usually resolve similar issues.
The first involves forcing Windows to reset the desktop. There are probably other ways to do this, but I found that if I right click on the Start Menu, choose Properties, Task Bar, select "Auto Hide the Taskbar", then hit apply, it can resolve this issue.
The second fix is a bit more difficult, it involves deleting the user and recreating it. In ScrumWorks Pro, assuming you use the same name when you create the user again (remembering case sensitivity) then everything is set back to square one for the user.
The only drawback to this is that currently, web reports are saved on a per user basis. So if a user has saved web reports, doing this will remove those. -

I’m
happy
ScrumWorks Pro 5.1 is available for download and it addresses this problem. While the original problem could not be fixed (bug in a third-party library), we implemented a work around solution, though.
If you "lose" a pane, you can now use the View > "Restore Default View"
to completely reset the product defaults and restore the pane to its original location.
Please see the release notes for 5.1 upgrade instructions: http://gsfn.us/t/2hstp -
