The ScrumWorks Basic service is starting.
The ScrumWorks Basic service could not be started.
The service did not report an error.

Some one know what's the problem?
Thanks

Unfortunately message 3534 is about as unhelpful as they come.
If you check your installdirectory\server\scrumworks\log\server.log file it should give you more details of what the issue is, possibly also the boot.log file from that same directory. -

That file doesn't seem to exist for ScrumWorks Pro, which is what I'm using. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Any advice?
Thanks in advance.-
Hi Justin,
Both Pro and Basic should have server.log files, but they are only created after the server starts running.
Could you send me some details of what is going wrong for you Justin? The interface here is the quickest way to submit a support case for ScrumWorks Pro: http://danube.com/scrumworks/pro/supp... -

Well, that more or less is what's happening. I try to start the service, and I get: "The ScrumWorks Pro Server 4.1.0 service is starting.
The ScrumWorks Pro Server 4.1.0 service could not be started.
The service did not report an error.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534."
This is a trial version of SWP, and I haven't been able to make it past this message. I tried restarting, and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SWP. I'm using WinXP in a Parallels virtual machine on a Macbook Pro. I have Java 6 with Update 13.
SWP is set to use MySQL, which was already installed. I made a database in MySQL called "scrumworks" and the installer seems to have successfully populated it. It's using the root login.
That's about all the info I can think of. -

Do you have anything in your installdirectory\server\scrumworks\log\ directory (where installdirectory = whatever location you have installed ScrumWorks Pro to)
Even if we don't have a server.log file in there we should get a boot.log -
-
Negative. That folder doesn't even exist. installdirectory\server\scrumworks contains only the conf, lib, data, and deploy folders. In fact, a search through installdirectory for "*.log" returns only scrumworks-updater.log.
-
Sounds like it wasn't fully installed then. Can you send me the scrumworks-updater.log file? support@danube.com
It should tell us what went wrong with the installation. -

I am also getting the same error, and the installdirectory\server\scrumworks\log\ directory doesn ́t exist. And the scrumworks-updater.log file don ́t show important info. I guess that the problem is init JBoss... I have the port 8080 in use and i change the SCRUMWORKS_DIR/server/scrumworks/deploy/jboss-web.deployer/server.xml but the problem is the same.

I just tried to install for the first time and am getting this same error:
C:\>net start "ScrumWorks Pro Server 5.1.0"
The ScrumWorks Pro Server 5.1.0 service is starting.
The ScrumWorks Pro Server 5.1.0 service could not be started.
The service did not report an error.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3534.
I have no log directory in the server\scrumworks folder and the scrumworks-updater.log contains NO data.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -
