Split backlog items, keep references

Is splitting backlog items common scrum practise? I would like SW help me doing that while keeping the references for tracability reasons. The dialog should let me choose which tasks to transfer and let me put in new pb item estimates.

    Hi Lars,

    I wanted to add one thing to this feature request that a lot of people find useful but isn't widely known. It is pretty handy for splitting out items however.

    There is a keyboard shortcut that can be used for splitting out items. If you open up an item, then press CTRL+ ALT + N it will create a new item, with the text of the open item copied into the description.

    If you highlight a portion of the open item, and then hit CTRL + ALT + N it will copy just that highlighted portion.

    Of course, this still doesn't add traceability, that will still need to be a feature request.
