Point Person not available

Hi Scrumsubi,

Usually this problem is caused by the user not being a part of the appropriate team, which doesn't sound like it is the issue here.

If you add another user to the team can you get get that user to show up in the Point Person drop down?

Unfortunately, because this is Basic all I can do is guess at why this is an issue. In rare cases with older versions of ScrumWorks Pro I recall an issue where a particular user could have a problem that required it to be removed and re-added. It might be something to look into.

I'm having this problem too. I see how to connect the users to teams, I don't see how to connect the teams to the product or the release.

I created a team and added users to it, then created a product, created a backlog item, created a task for the item and couldn't add a user for the task. what step did I miss?

Have you assigned that Backlog Item to a sprint yet?

A point person cannot be assigned until the Backlog Item it is associated with is scheduled in a sprint. Until that point it is not actually associated with any particular team.

You're right, that solves the problem. it was not apparent to me how to create a new sprint. once i found that, then i could drag the item over and assign it a point person.
