As part of our internal process we put together supporting documentation for our product enhancements. This normally takes the form of a PowerPoint which is typically used to develop the User Stories. We refer to these documents within our Backlog Items but it would be great if we could link to the documents within the Backlog Item rather than attaching them. That way we only maintain them in one place and the Team has an easy way of accessing the document.
Anyone else have the same need?

If you have a direct link to the document you can add that in comments and it will become a hyperlink. Is that the type of thing you are looking for?Comment -

Yes that is what I am looking for but it also needs to be in the description. The comments can get lost and do not appear on the backlog item list on the web based version.
We want to make sure the team can easily get to these documents.

Got it, that is indeed a feature request to enhance the description field. I'll make sure it is in the backlog.
