How do I add sprint task data to Web Reports?

I am trying to build web reports on the current sprint task data but I don't see a way to do so. How do you generate reports on the current and previous sprints?

  • You can only create web reports for the "current" sprint. Web Reports do not support past sprint reporting. Add sprint tasks to the web reports using the "Current Sprint Tasks" module on the left side of the Web Reports Editor window.

Note, you must have the "View Tasks" permission to access the "Current Sprint Tasks" module. For more information see: http://danube.com/docs/scrumworks/pro...

This is something we do today, but as we're exposing this information to our stakeholders they are more interested in the Parent PBI Title than the actual task titles associated to it.

At the moment Web Reports does not allow you to deselect the Task Title from the Task Attributes that are included in the Current Sprint Tasks report.

Granted, we could continue using the Product Backlog Items report but this would require us to manually update the configuration of the report at each sprint/release to focus on just the specific features in this sprint.

Would it be possible to allow for the Task Title to be de-selected? As we run multiple concurrent projects per product and per release, and we use Themes to separate them, it would be beneficial to be able to filter by Themes as well. I.e. include the "optional filters" options for the Current Sprint Tasks as well.

    Hi Maxk,

If I understand correctly, you need to display the PBIs from the current sprint for stakeholders, but not the tasks?

If that is the case, I would suggest using the PBI module. Filter it by a theme called something like "Team 1" that you apply to every PBI after it has been assigned to that team's sprint. It should be a pretty quick process if you select everything within the sprint and apply it to all the PBIs at one time.

The second filter I would put on the module would be Status. Include every PBI except for one marked as Done.

At that point you should have a Web Report that displays all PBIs currently scheduled in a sprint, filtered by team. You would not have to manually update the web report, just apply this theme any time you schedule work in a sprint.

If you need any clarification please let me know.

  • Hi Maxk,

I wanted to add that I was discussing this with the Product Owner over lunch and he suggested that I turn this into an Idea. While the theme method should work, we could also add a couple more filters to web reports to fix this.

I have created a new idea here: http://community.danube.com/danube/to...

If you get the chance we would appreciate anything you might have to add, or correct, in the idea.
