Can't Launch Scrumworks Pro Desktop Client
click on Launch
Scrumworks Pro Desktop Client I get a popup which titled "Launching
application". This is then shortly followed by "Unable to launch application".
The "Details" pane of that popop show this:-
“Error: JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate”.
The above error was returned by a Ubuntu 10.04 client.
This is a client side error, no message on the server. Chatter on the net indicates is might be an issue with including a mixed set files signed by different providers.
This may be OS or Browser + OS dependent. I can not replicate on my Windows 7 client.

Hello,
What version of Java is currently in use on the system? -

Hi Mockodin,
This is an error that brings back a few bad memories. We saw this quite a lot when Java 6 update 14 came out, it had a bug in it that caused this error and we had to wait for them to fix it.
In this case we don't know of any issue with update 18, Mark is currently in the process of trying to reproduce the issue.
I did want to jump in though and ask if your Ubunutu client had more than one copy of Java installed, maybe Open JDK? -
-
I believe Open JDK is installed. I think the users mentioned it in passing. I see if I can confirm.

Mark just finished double checking, update 18 itself shouldn't be the issue.
I do know that OpenJDK causes problems with the Web Client at least, I am still combing through old records to see if I can come up with a case of this error having occurred when it wasn't related to update 14. -
