I would like to configure the states of my tasks and have them show up on the task board. It is fine to limit the number we can have for UI reasons, but often times we need a little more granularity into where a task actually lies at a high level (if that makes sense :-))

I will second that request - either via being able to create our own Task State list entries (but would that break the neat columnar display in the browser client?) or as Themes.

Yes, having the ability to add your own task status and having them display a new column in your product taskboard would be a great improvement to the product. It allows the team members and anyone else a more detail view of the status of the tasks. It also makes the tool more adaptable to the processes of the team, and easier to use for team practicing Kanban-

Installed version 5.1. The new custom status is only available at the Story level, not at the task level. Doesn't solve the need for Tasks with different status values. For example: ready for testing or In testing would be a great status to have.
