Suggested to me by a partner (Tasktop):
As a ScrumWorks Pro user, I want to add comments to PBIs and Tasks so that my colleagues and I can discuss issues, log questions and answers, and then review them at a later time.
-
I would like to have the ability to have notes posted to a task or user story in thread format (example):
Notes:
ldacy 10/1/2008 8:30PM
Please make sure this gets tested on JIRA
cmeyer 9/20/2008 11:38AM
Tested in code app
Currently, this is all kept in the "Description" or "Notes" section, there is no sense of thread and users have to type a format we agree on so we can see who made what notes in the task or story.
-----------------------------------------
Depending how this was implemented, this is something we could also appreciate. We currently rely on users filling in notes in the Description, and remembering to include their initials and a date. The up side of this is that when you view the Description, you see all the notes as well - I wouldn't want to lose that by them being an extra click away.

Thread for Notes / Description. -

We've found comment threads to be very valuable in tracking the evolution of requirements and stories in our current issue tracking system (not ScrumWorks). We also use the notes/comments fields to capture source code changes through automated scripts that run when files are committed in our source control system. Having those notes distinct from user-entered notes is important.
I agree that having all comments in a thread visible at a glance would be ideal. -
