Bi-directional updates to/from JIRA/SWP
We use JIRA for work item and time tracking. Currently, users are entering time into a stand-alone time sheet app, plus entering time into JIRA. Adding SWP into the mix makes 3 places for them to enter their time: NOT good. We're working on a connector for the timesheet so that users enter time in JIRA and are (mostly) done. What I'd like is to have a way to enter time into SWP so that it also updates JIRA. If the user moves an item from 'in progress' to 'done' using the web client, or marks something done using the rich client, or changes remaining work, I'd like to see all of those actions reflected in JIRA. I suppose we could use the API for SWP and write it ourselves, but wouldn't it be nicer if you did it for us? :-)

Wow ! We have a huge headache on that. We currently use:
- JIRA for external maintenance and support with customer projects
- ScrumWorks for planning ongoing internal new product development out of multiple customer project requirements
- Web TimeSheet from Replicon for time reporting and customer project billing and invoicing.
And because the out of the box integration to JIRA is only one way and read-only, product owners can't even adapt customer bug reports to a story format and single language understood by the scrum team. -

It looks like this idea has been created 1 year ago. Did anything materialize in the meantime?
We are looking into Scrumworks, but it might be a showstopper if we cannot update the tasks in Jira from Scrumworks and the other way around.
Thank you -

I actually wrote a both way synchronization tool which we used for a while, but do not anymore since we got rid of Scrumworks.
