Archive Themes

As a user I would like to be able to Archive themes. I have a lot of old themes cluttering up my view, and while some old themes are still applicable for some reporting purposes I don't need them as an option when I apply a theme.

Additionally, I may not need them to display on items in my backlog when they are archived.

silly I’m hopeful this can be done.

As a Program "administrator", I can:
    1) archive Epic Themes
    2) view archived Themes either within the Program only or down to Products as well
    3) restore archived Epci Themes (ie: some themes may only be worked on once or twice a year, not every quarter)
This will allow me to manage the volume of visible epics within the Program and in the attached Products.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Ability to archive / restore Program Epic Themes.
    • I have replaced Debbie W. at our company, and we still would like this. I did see in January that it was merged and added to your product backlog for adding to the product.
"Merged this topic with the topic Archive Themes
Reason: I am merging this into the topic that exists on this subject. I should also note that I spoke with the Product Owner about this just yesterday, I have no doubt that this will be added to the product. He didn't have a timeline for me yet though. "
Can we get a status on when this may be added?
      Thanks,
      KLPeterson

    Hi,

This is a good idea.It has been formulated in my organisation as follows:

As a user I want to be able to hide and unhide (archive & unarchive) done / inactive themes because I have lots of stuff that have been completed and are now disturbing the themes view, but which still may in some cases be re-activated

  • As of 4.4 there is a feature that might alleviate this issue somewhat.

Added "quick search" to Theme lists. Start typing to find a Theme once a Theme list (Apply/Remove themes) is in focus.

Basically, when the focus is in any theme window you just start typing, and it searches through the themes. It's one of those things that is really useful once you see how to use it, but until you have figured it out, it is a bit hidden.

While this quick search is useful, it would still be helpful to be able to archive themes. We will use themes to track an epic feature, but then we don't need it available for future work but we don't want to lose the historic significance of the theme.
